Sementara di kategori Album of The Year, lewat album '21', penyanyi berusia 23 tahun ini menyingkirkan Foo Fighters 'Wasting Light', Lady Gaga 'Born This Way', Rihanna 'Loud', dan Bruno Mars 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans'.
Berbeda saat ia menerima penghargaan sebelumnya, kali ini Adele tampak terharu. Saat di atas panggung ia tak bisa menahan air matanya.
